New York, NY - As the premiere resource for contemporary art in New York City, this museum and its staff simply could not afford to be out of touch with the many people who are critical to everyday operations.
With a monthly maximum email volume of 50,000 and 50 users, the museum realized the importance of their email service. Our sales department was contacted regarding Email Continuity Solutions. After discussing their options with our sales department and receiving information about how the service works, they decided to take the information under advisement.
The next day, their mail server crashed and all email service was terminated. Emails could not be sent, received, or viewed. Immediately, they contacted our sales department needing the Email Continuity Solution right away. The museum was in crisis mode!
Due to the severity of the museum's emergency, the Webservio team was willing to temporarily break from its normal protocol. Webservio's team set up the account and restored the museum's email service within 2 hours. Webservio’s Email Continuity Solution restored the museum's business continuity by reestablishing email communications throughout its primary server outage. Email received by the backup mail server was copied and sent to the museum's Webservio Webmail account and POP3 accounts. Once the museum set up its user accounts, staff resumed sending and receiving email from their office as if their primary mail server was still functioning. When sending emails from the Webservio Webmail, their correspondents saw that the messages were coming from the museum's domain rather than Webservio’s stand-by email system. The museum's business correspondents were unaware of any trouble with the museum's email server. Bounce-back messages stopped!
Once the musem's mail sever was back online, the backed up email messages, along with copies of all messages sent during the outage, were returned to the primary server and email communication continued through the primary MX record.
The museum's impending communications disaster was averted and all business resumed under normal working conditions.
